Elderly Care Home
Our client is a director of an elderly care home based in Hampshire. He came to us after struggling to find cover with his incumbent provider following a change of business situation – the company status had recently changed from a partnership to a limited company. This means that technically the limited company is seen as a new entity, requiring the registration process with the CQC to start again. As a result, his provider was unwilling to offer terms leaving the business open to risk and the incumbent broker – a large multi-National, was only able to secure terms at an exorbitant rate.
